Which Weldy Machine Do You Need? Complete Range Selection Guide

Weldy Booster EX3 from the full Weldy machine range

Weldy builds hand extruders, wedge welders and hot-air tools, and each family has several models. This guide maps the full range we stock in Dubai so you can shortlist in minutes — every model links to its page and downloadable datasheet in our technical library.

Step 1: What are you welding?

  • Long geomembrane panel seams → a wedge welder (WGW 300, Miniwelder Geo2)
  • Thick structural joints, patches, tanks, pipes → a hand extruder (Booster EX3, Booster EX2)
  • Thin films, roofing, tarpaulin seams → Miniwelder Tex2 / Tex1 or a hot-air tool
  • Details, tacking, shrinking, drying → a hot-air hand tool (HT1600, HT1600 D, HT3400)

Step 2: Hand extruders — EX3 or EX2?

Both run Ø3–4 mm wire on HD-PE, LD-PE, LLD-PE and PP at 3000 W. The Booster EX3 delivers 3.4 kg/h for higher-output production welding; the Booster EX2 delivers 2.5 kg/h in a shorter 500 mm body with double-sided wire feed and 360° rotating welding shoes — better in tight, overhead and awkward positions.

Step 3: Wedge welders — by liner thickness

  • 0.05–1.0 mm films → Miniwelder Tex1, ball wedge, 300 W, 15 mm seam
  • 0.1–1.0 mm membranes → Miniwelder Tex2, 20 mm seam, 800 W
  • 0.4–1.5 mm geomembrane → Miniwelder Geo2, 2×12 mm dual-track with test channel, 3.9 kg
  • 0.8–2.5 mm HD-PE (to 3.0 mm LD-PE/TPO/PVC) → WGW 300, 1750 W, up to 8.5 m/min

Note the QA implication: the Geo2 and WGW 300 produce dual-track seams with an air test channel, which CQA-supervised landfill and pond projects require. The Tex machines produce single-track seams suited to roofing, films and covers.

Step 4: Hot air tools — by task

  • HT1600 — 1600 W, 40–700°C, 240 l/min: the everyday welding tool for membranes, tarpaulin and details.
  • HT1600 D — same power with digital control, LCD, probe feedback and memory settings: for reproducible, process-documented welding.
  • HT3400 — 3400 W, 320 l/min, Ø50 mm nozzle seat: large-scale shrinking, bending, heating and drying rather than seam welding.

Typical kits we quote

  1. Geomembrane lining crew: WGW 300 + Booster EX3 + HT1600 + Ø4 mm HDPE wire + spares
  2. Fish farm / water tank installer: Miniwelder Geo2 + HT1600 + spare wedge
  3. Roofing & waterproofing: Miniwelder Tex2 + HT1600 D overlap welding kit
  4. Plastics fabrication workshop: Booster EX2 + shoe set + HT3400 for shrink and drying work

All from one welding machine supplier in Dubai – UAE, with liner, wire and spares in the same shipment. Describe your project and we will shortlist the right models, same working day.
