Weldy Parts & Heating Element Guide: Keep Your Machine Welding
Most "dead" hot air tools and welders we receive in Dubai need one inexpensive part. This guide covers the Weldy parts that actually wear — heating elements, carbon brushes, shoes and wedges — how to spot the symptoms early, and which spares belong in every site box. We stock these parts for the Weldy machines we sell in the UAE.
Weldy heat gun element (HT1600)
The HT1600's ceramic heating element is its most asked-about spare. Symptoms of a tired element: the gun reaches temperature slowly, cannot hold the set temperature under airflow, or cuts out at high settings. Replacement is straightforward — the element sits behind the nozzle assembly — but always match the element to your tool's voltage (230 V vs 120 V). Fit genuine elements only: cheap copies drift in temperature and ruin seams invisibly.
Carbon brushes (HT1600 & EX3 drive motors)
Brush motors wear their carbon brushes on a schedule set by usage hours and dust. Warning signs: sparking at the motor vents, intermittent stopping, or falling power. The HT1600 ships with a replacement brush set in the box; the Booster EX3 kit includes a drive-motor brush too. Change brushes in pairs and blow the motor clear of dust while it is open — five minutes that add months of life in Gulf conditions.
EX3 welding shoes & heating element
PTFE welding shoes are consumables: grooves wear, edges round off, and bead shape suffers. Keep at least one spare fillet shoe per machine. The EX3's air heating element is the other service item — the delivery kit includes one, and we hold more in Dubai stock.
WGW 300 wedge, fuses & rollers
On the WGW 300, the copper wedge is the wear part — inspect it daily for scoring and membrane residue, clean it with the supplied brush, and replace it when seam quality drops despite correct settings. Spare fuses ship in the box; keep them with the machine, not in the office. Drive rollers last long but check them whenever peel tests start failing at correct temperatures.
The spares kit we recommend per crew
- HT1600: 1 heating element, 1 brush set, spare 20/40 mm nozzles
- EX3: 2 welding shoes, 1 heating element, 1 brush set, matched Ø4 mm rod
- WGW 300: 1 spare wedge, fuse set, cleaning brush
Order spares with the machine and they travel in one shipment; order them mid-project and we fly them out from Dubai. Either way, one message covers it: request a parts quotation or WhatsApp +971 50 178 9490 — from the same welding machine and parts supplier in Dubai that sold the tool.
